Helping You Pick Women Swimwear

womens swimsuits

Many women are unhappy with the way they look in certain pieces of clothing. Whether it is dressing for work or for play, they tend to be very critical of themselves. Perhaps it is not so much that they need a different body, but maybe a few ideas on the type of clothing that would be a good choice for them. This holds especially true for womens swimwear, as it may not be your body but the wrong style of suit.

For example, if you feel that you need to look a little thinner or want to minimize the size of your hips, then try wearing a suit that incorporates what is called side shirring. This can be done with both a one piece and a two piece swimsuit. The material is folded or draped over and it may possibly have stripes on the side that will give you a thinner appearance and help to achieve that hourglass shape that many women covet. There may be a modest cut on the leg length, as well as styles that are skirted.

There are a number of different “problems” that can be minimized with the right choice in womens swimwear. If you have an upper body that is a little bigger than the lower body (this shape is also called an inverted triangle), then you can minimize this by choosing to wear solids on the top and maybe the bottom or if you prefer you can go with a solid top and a pattern on the bottom. Some tankinis have a skirted bottom that can help you achieve the look you want.

Today, even the ladies who wear a plus size have a great selection to choose from in womens swimsuits. If you prefer, you do not even have to go into a store anymore, as buying swimwear online is a great way to shop. The fashions for the plus-sized are no longer limited to just a few styles and colors. More and more designers are realizing that not everyone has a body like a swimsuit model, and they are starting to build a better and sexier line of suits for plus sized woman.

Of course, there are some tips that you should consider when you are looking for your next suit. If you are on the short side, then consider trying vertical stripes, as they can visually add length to your body. If it is your legs that you feel are too short, then opt for a swimsuit that has a cut high on the thigh. If you feel that your bust is a little on the full side, then look for support with under wires and padding if necessary. There is more to womens swimwear than the sexy bikini. Ask any man and you will probably learn that many of them feel that a one piece swimsuit is sexier, as it leaves more to the imagination.

Useful Tips When Selecting Your Swimsuit

the bikini

Are you one of those women who start to panic simply at the thought of it baring it all at the beach? At what point do you consider the latest fashions being showcased by swimsuit models? Do you stress every year about how you will look in a new suit? You are not alone, as most women think that no swimsuit is going to look good on them and subsequently start to stress at the first hint of warm weather.

Naturally, you want to look good in a bathing suit; however, most do not know how to help this along. And truthfully, many of the salespeople that assist you do not have a clue as to what would look best on you. Usually they are just trying to make a sale and the more expensive the better. However, that does not mean that a sexy bikini, a speedo swimwear selection or a one piece swimsuit would not look good on you. Even one of the newer tankinis may be a good choice. Perhaps just a little advice on how to work with what you have is needed.

If you have a smaller bust, then you should stay away from bandeau or tube tops, as they actually detract from the appearance of your bust line. The bikini top that has shaped cups is great for creating a more curvy appearance and the swimsuit that ties in the front can give the appearance of more cleavage by just tying it tighter. Or, you can always add a ruffle or bow to the top to give it more bulk.

Under wires are the best way to support larger breasts; however, they do nothing to help downplay the size of your bust. If you want help minimize how large your bust appears, then avoid triangular tops or the smaller ones with no coverage. Also, if you are set on a two piece swimsuit, then avoid a top with slender or small straps, as they do not give adequate support and may actually make breasts appear larger.

If you have stressed over having a torso that is too long or too short, then relax. While the wrong suit may cause a shorter person to appear blockier, the correct one will help give the torso a more elongated look. If you have a shorter torso, then make sure the bikini bottom sits low on the hips with skin showing over the waistline. Then match it with a halter top that will draw attention to your chest and shoulders, rather than the torso. If you have a longer torso, then you may want to consider a swimsuit that is cut higher on the leg, giving the impression of extra length.
