How To Pick Your Swim Wear

sexy bikini

In the summertime, do and you and your friends go swimming in the lake wearing just cutoffs and t-shirts? For many young people, it doesn’t matter what they wear as long as they are there. All that matters is the swimming, and usually it is an all day frolic. Proper swim wear doesn’t hold any special meaning for a lot of kids, right? Even if you forgot to bring a towel you knew that mom would be waiting with a big fluffy one when you arrived home and she would wrap your wrinkly body up just like a burrito.

Well that was then and this is now. Today it seems like a great deal of thought goes into deciding what to take with you to the beach or lake for any occasion. Some will actually accessorize towels and floats to match their bathing suits. This goes way beyond cut offs and t-shirts. These days there are many choices, such as swimwear speedo suits, tankinis, a one or two piece swimsuit and the ever popular bikini swimwear.

That big shirt that you have been wearing over your one or two piece swimsuit is still considered fashionable. However, it is only in fashion if you use it to make your swim wear more pronounced and chic. Sometimes this can be done by accessorizing the shirt with a tie or belt and some will even add a hat to show their fashion sense, so be sure to keep up with all of the newest trends.

One way to liven up womens swimsuits is to choose a very brightly colored wrap or caftan. Colors do express a mood or meaning and they also tend to stimulate certain responses, from serenity to aggression.

If you wear an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini, then you need to be prepared for a great deal of attention, probably more than you ever expected. Wearing a blue bikini causes a very calming and relaxing effect, and the pink bikini that is in your swim wear collection is sure to ignite many sparks, as pink is the color of passion. Of course not all colors mean the same thing in all cultures, but it is pretty close to the same.

Helping You Pick Your Bikinis

swimwear bikini

It’s almost that time again, you know, when it is all about warm beaches and cool water. Even if it is snowing in your area, it is warm somewhere on earth and you can bet that some are in a frenzy about getting their bodies in shape for the new bikinis of the season; perhaps even one with a classic thong design. Not only does the body need to be in shape but you also need to know what will or will not look good on you. Here are a few tips to follow.

When shopping for a bikini, make sure that the bottom (panties) fit. This may sound like a rather obvious statement, but many people don’t really see that. A woman may be a size 6 but there is still the possibility of those dreadful love handles. It is not a pretty sight but it is true of even those who are fit. Do not let the desire to diet yourself down to a size 4 ruin how you actually fill out your swimwear bikini.

As frustrating as it is, finding the bikini with the perfect top for you is vital. If you have a smaller bosom and want to give the illusion of having fuller breasts, then try one of the bikinis with a bandeau top. Also choose textured and bright colors to further create the illusion of a larger chest.

Of course, if you have the opposite problem, then an ample chest looks really good in a halter style top. Not only does it look good but with a wide strapped halter top you have the advantage of being able to tighten and lift at the same time. An added bonus to this sexy bikini style is the fact that you won’t have to worry about it coming off every time you dive into the water. Remember, if you are wearing bikini swimwear that you feel good about and are comfortable in, then you may feel a little better about it when you are throwing your near naked body out there for the world to see. It also helps if you take a good friend with you when trying on bathing suits as they are more likely to be honest in their opinion.

If having short legs is a problem for you, then one style of bikinis that you may want to stay away from are the boy shorts style. Some women have even referred to this as having legs like a dachshund. Try to find the bikini bottom that has a higher cut leg, if you are lucky you may even be able to find one that is both low rise and hi-cut on the legs. However, this is a very rare style and can be hard to find; so if you do happen to find some be sure to buy several as they will look great.

An Overview Of One Piece Swimsuits

bikini swimwear

Many people are under the impression that something like the bikini swimwear is the only sexy style of bathing suit available. However, try asking some men about that and many will say that women wearing one piece swimsuits are much more alluring. Why? Because it leaves something to the imagination; gives them something to think about as a little mysterious, if you will. So, do not think you have to have a sexy bikini in order to get attention because men love a little mystery as well.

There are several ways that a one piece swimsuit can be designed to give optimum exposure and yet still leave something to the imagination. For example, some have a maillot that has certain cut out areas (or peek-a-boo as they are also known) that helps to break up the straight line and accentuates feminine curves.

If you are looking for a sexy yet contemporary look, then try to find a suit that has asymmetrical slashes that show skin between some of them and others that use bold, vibrant colors, such as fuchsia, yellow and orange. Some one piece swimsuits may even appear to show more skin than bikini swimwear. As well, you can always find something a little more modest if you are not quite ready to show all that skin.

Of course, you can’t forget that contemporary yet classy look, with something like an animal print one piece swimsuit. All of these wild prints, from spotted like a Dalmatian to striped like a zebra and everything else in between, are always in style. If stylish yet subtle is your style, then consider suits with some type of small styling on the straps, such as rings or even small ruffles. There are many different styles available and with a little extra work on your part you should be able to find one that flatters your particular body shape.

The experts have given us a few tips on what would look good on particular body shape as far as one piece swimsuits are concerned. If you have more of a boyish figure, with shoulders, waist and hips that are all close to the same size, then be sure to look for suits that have ruffles along the bust and hips to give the impression of more curves. If you are a little top heavy, then try to find a suit that has wide straps that will hold you up. For someone with a more pear shaped figure, try to be sure that the bottom appears smaller than the top of the suit to draw attention away from the shape.
