Easier Luggage Packing for Ladies

My ma taught me to pack with tissue paper between your pieces of clothing.  You need to fill your case with clothing, not with paperThe new upright wheeling bag has its own constraints on packing.  It must have a different technique of layering your clothing.  It simplifies things to plan what I’ll be wearing ahead.  These are the lightest weight hangers and will take up the tiniest amount of room in the case.  The shirt goes on the hanger first, followed by the slacks beneath and the jacket on top.

Then I put 3 hangers in the case with the hanger beginning at the short end.  And then three more hangers beginning at the opposite end.  I continue packing like that till all of my clothing on hangers is in the case.  Then I add pajamas rolled up to fit round the perimeter or in any empty spaces.  Then I place my shoes in shoe mittens or shoe covers and place them round the perimeter.  Remember not to bring too many pairs of shoes due to the weight limit imposed on bags by the airlines.  As any one who has traveled knows, there are never enough hangers in any hotel room.  I also carry a lighweight steamer, in case there’s some wrinkling.  The new steamers are small, use tap water from any country, and are twin voltage, so they can be employed almost anywhere.  I never pack spray bottles or cans in my bags.  That includes creams, lotions, sprays, shampoos and smells.  Bag isn’t pressurized and will loosen even the tightest closed boxes.  I urge you to try ebay auctions for your shopping: vera bradley coupons

A plastic closure bag or water resistant bag helps, but damage has been known to occur, so I customarily avoid risks by putting that sort of item in my carryon bag.  Most hostels today have hair dryers, but if you’re used to a more robust dryer, you’ll wish to bring a travel model with you.  Some hostels have coffee machines and others don’t .  

If coffee is significant first thing in the morning or evening, try the small travel models.  Perfect packing needs time and experience – you will soon discover what items you can do without and the ones that make your trip most nice.
