Selecting a prom dress for that perfect night

Prom night is coming up and you still do not have a clue what sort of prom dress to wear. There are so many choices in prom dresses that you do not know where to start. Your friends and family are not much help either. Your girl friends are pushing for you to go for something short and sexy, and your mother would have you in a very staid dres from her era. Now for the style. If your your figure is less than perfect, then what about your shoulders? Do you have good skin and nice smooth shoulders with a long neck. Then an off the shoulder prom dress wil work well. You could team it with a stunning necklace and nobody will look at that imperfect rear.

If your legs are not your finest point, then wear a long or mid calf dress. For more freedom of movement than you get in a long dress,try that mid flattering calf dress. You want to be able to dance, so don’t choose a prom dress which is to tight anywhere.Besides the lack of movement, it will show up any imperfactions even those you did not know you had.

Remember, if you have a large bust and you want to disguise this fact, then you should wear necklines which are round. Alternatively to show off that large bust then show lots of cleavage with a s-shaped neckline. A higher neckline or an uplift bra with lots of cleavage can highlight the beautiful shape of a smaller bustline. A low cut strapless prom dress is also an option to consider. Your comfort is always the most important point.

Whatever style you think may suit you, nothing will replace the fact that the more prom dresses you try on, the more likely you are to find one which is perfect for you. Make an occasion of going out with a close friend to try on lots of prom dresses. Try on some which you think will not suit you at all. A pleasant surprise may be coming.
