Thinking about your prom dress can never be started too early. Like weddings dresses, it is one of the most important dress you will own. Since it is a right of passage from childhood, your prom night deserves all the attention you can give it. Stretch limos will be hired for the occasion by those that can afford it. One final thing. Don’t actually buy your dress if you select it a long time before the dance. Once you have identified your bad points and those you wish to emphasise, you need to decide on a style of dress. There are loads of places you can get advice about the best style to suit your particular figure. Tight fitting dresses will always restrict your movement, and exagerate any imperfections of your figure.This is true no matter what your figure. You do want to be able to dance all night after all. If you are still in doubt about what suits you,take somebody with you and go and try on lots of different style of dresses. You need to find someone who will be honest with you when deciding who to take. It is often a good idea not to let them know at the start what you have already decided.

Once you have chosen your dress, then consider your hairstyle and make up. If you have long hair, you will have to make the decision about whether to put it on top of your head or leave it around your shoulders. If you have nice clear skin and a long slender neck an upswept hairdo will look terrific. Also consider the neckline of your dress, hair left lose can look very cluttered with a fussy neckline.
